a life full of family, travel & professional accomplishment

After a life full of family, travel and professional accomplishment, Bill passed away November 26,2022 after a brief battle with metastatic brain cancer.

Bill lived a fulfilling & loving life. He was playing softball through August, hiking in September, and was preparing to take a week’s vacation in Breckenridge, CO when he was diagnosed with cancer.

Bill fought his disease undergoing multiple treatments for the first month. He was optimistic and energized by the support of his loved ones. Despite his best efforts, his condition deteriorated, and he lost his battle. His family is comforted knowing his struggles are over and he is at peace.                                                                                        Bill was born in New York city, the youngest and only boy of four children.  He is survived by his wife, Joan, his son Bill (Susan) & daughter Pegeen (Doug).  He was blessed with 5 grandchildren; Lauren Henry, Shannon Patterson, Morgan Henry, Nathan Patterson & William Henry.  He also is survived by his extended family.  He was kind, generous, hard-working and a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Uncle, and Friend who will be greatly missed.

Bill Loved the outdoors

Bill had a long and adventurous life following his three main passions: his family, his profession of civil engineering, and his love of the outdoors.

Together, they visited 43 countries, and when they returned home, they often made meals they had tried during their travels to make their adventures last longer!
